April 11 Sermon: When Doors are Closed

… [Forgiveness] is a hard word for all of us who have been behind a locked door. But in that word we might find our own healing and wholeness and strength. And so, too, might we find the motivation to go ahead and throw open those other closed doors, the ones that oppress and exclude, the ones that protect not souls but traditions, the ones that lock out not the impure but the called.
